It's normal. Like nudity and sex, swearing has become more and more accepted in day to day life. I'm not a prude, though. I have no problem with people who swear as long as it's not at me.. haha.
I was raised with parents who swore in conversation (for fun/a joke) and arguments. I swear online for emphasis, but if I ever swore offline, heads would turn and everyone would know I was pissed. Maybe that's the way you'd like it to be with everyone? Swears lose their effectiveness when overused.
Is it normal to hate how universal cuss/swear words have become?
