Is it normal to hate how universal cuss/swear words have become?

  • They're just words. I personally think its hilarious how freaked out people get over a few words that society has dubbed "wrong". If you break them down, you can link them to other words from other languages where the meanings are similar but its not "swearing" to use those words in other languages.

I think putting the taboo on them is what made people want to do it more. As human beings we like to feel like we're being bad from time to time. Its a psychological thing. So by saying a "curse" word, we're not really hurting anyone but we get the rush of being able to say "shocking" words.

I think when you make it a big deal, and you let yourself become bothered by it, they have a higher resolution with you than they do with other people.
