Is it normal to hate hearing about suicide?

My mom had one guy in her class that ended up committing suicide because he had terrible parents and was bullied and his best friend, who was also my mom's best friend, said she couldn't talk to him that day, not to mention his girlfriend just broke up with him. So he shot himself 4 times behind a 7/11 parking lot.
I wish that people would wait to die. So many good people die that way because they can't see any hope. And I wish I could be there for them. I wish that if I knew someone was going to do that I could tell them that everything is going to be okay. But I can't.
I don't like suicide.

    Completly normal. I hate hearing about it. Even not knowing the person. Just hate the Idea.

    I don't know but it also probably took him hours to die because he shot himself so that he couldn't just die or call for help. That's what the newspaper said :S my mom said she wishes it wouldn't have said that

    I say its normal to not like hearing about it when there is a story behind it. like if someone told me that some random dude killed himself then it wouldnt really bother me, but if my friend or someone close to me did it than i wouldnt want to hear about it.

    Random question.. Why did it take 4 shots to kill himself?

    Suicide Is an awful thing, it's normal to hate it, we all should. I know someone how killed himself. I cried for hours even though he was closer to my mom than me. It's hurts us all. But I agree, hearing about suicide Is awful
