believe me, I know. I work at a resale/consignment store and I see all sorts of characters.
we had one guy with a few things he wanted to sell, and came up with a sob story about needing food for his kids.
we gave him $15 for his items and he goes into the gas station next door and buys $15 worth of booze, smokes, and lotto scratchers! (at least he had some decent stuff to sell!) what about the family he was supposed to be feeding?
not to mention the tweaker who need money to get food for his wife, i mean this guy just got done using meth (I've known enough meth heads to tell all the signs) , now, i don't know if he was being honest, but i do know if it wasn't for his meth habit (and according to what i heard, its expensive!), then he probably would be able to afford to get food! he had junk anyways, (and wanted a lot for it!) so i didn't buy it.
( seriously, what's with people fucked on drugs trying to make their crap seem more valuable than it really is?)
i ignore the sob stories people try to give us to buy their crap, cause i know most are complete bullshit. i only buy if i know its something we can make a decent profit on.
