I don't see anything wrong with liking those things you mentioned and to each his/her own. One of my favorite books I've read is Jody Picoult's, "House Rules," and a character in the book, a young boy, has Aspergers. I found it interesting and learned how people with Aspergers and autism think differently because their brains process things differently.
