Unfortunately this is more normal than I would like to think. Your reaction is disconcerting. You should ask yourself why you have this kind of reaction to this sort of matter. A lot of racism is founded on ignorance, limited experiences, stereotypes, etc.
...On another note I sprung out of an interracial relationship. My parents faced discrimination at the start and they have a healthy, normal relationship. Put yourself in that family's shoes! This kind of attitude needs to be seriously reexamined!
