Hell yeah, that's normal. That is mostly how I roll. I love my family and friends but traveling with them can be a bit taxing and everyone has a different agenda, schedule, habits, interests, etc. Sometimes, traveling alone can get lonely but I think its benefits far outweigh its liabilities.
