Is it normal to go into Musical Theatre if I don't work out at all?

  • Actors come in all different shapes and sizes. There are some amazing character parts out there. Your insecurities, flaws, and quirks can be put to use for you if you let them. I once attended a workshop taught by a man who happens to be one of the biggest voiceover actors in Hollywood, he also has done a lot of on-screen work too. He was short and talked about how directors cast him often because he is different and out of the box. My sister and her husband lived in L.A. and became friends with a married couple who happened to be both musical theatre actors. The husband was only about 5'7" and he played Guido Contini in the musical, Nine. So to make a long story short, just continue to perfect your craft, while also embracing your differences and what makes you unique.
