Is it normal to go for the best no matter the cost

I could look at two exact same products. One could be made by a different company with a little extra. Nothing crazy but a tiny added perk and it's do much more then the other brand. But I'll buy the more expensive option just for the added "quality". Even though there both almost exactly tue same.

  • Higher cost does not equal added quality or an item being "the best".

  • I do the same thing. I mean if it cost more it has to be better right

  • This added "quality" is only a status symbol. It doesn't mean anything real.
