I know how you feel, I recently told my best friend I was in love with her. My problem though was she had feelings for me and I waited too long because I didn't want to ruin our friendship, so she got over them, then I realized how amazing this person was and how much I loved her. I told her how I felt but she doesn't have those feelings anymore. My advice is just continue to be his best friend, it'll be hard but down the road he may realize what an amazing person you are and realize he loves you to. It's what happened to me.
