    People like that... you can try for lifetimes, but you're still wasting your time in the end.

    If they do not show effort to even accommodate you, then don't bother. They will always find a reason to dislike you. Live your life the way you want it, and don't let them bend you over backwards for nothing.

    P.S: Don't bother arguing with them, or being rude to them. Just nonchalantly acknowledge their presence, and move one with yours. It's your boyfriends family... sometimes, people like that come with the package.
