If you take care of yourself, and fill your time with hobbies and friends, the right girl will come to you. from my personal perspective, the times that I've been able to attract a nice guy (ha, I'm a girl :P) where the times that I was more focused on being confident and also when I was really enjoying being single! You never know when the love bug will get you, (and her) but if you are keeping a good eye out for it, you'll find it. Or she will find you!

While I appreciate the insight, its a little different for women than it is for men. In our society, its up to the man to initiate the conversations and ultimately ask for a date. I used to have this whole "who cares if she says no, your in the same spot you were 5 minutes ago" mentality when asking girls out, but now after this many years, I just can't do it anymore, the rejection is breaking my will. But the fact that some people feel similar to me gives me some reassurance, even if it is slight, so thank you all.
