Hickeys are just as juvenile as ostentatious, prolonged, and very public displays of affection.
Kids wear hickeys proudly because they prove they've made out with someone. No emotionally mature adult feels the need to do that, and if you feel the need to leave your mark on women you're intimate with, then I suggest you take a long look at why that is.
