Is it normal to get your cousin to kiss you after giving her a mistletoe?

On January 3, 2018, as my cousins were leaving after a brief visit, I gave my cousin who is 18 years older than me a Christmas card I made for her, as well as a mistletoe I made out of paper. Then I asked her if she knows what that means and then I asked her to give me a kiss on the cheek, so she kinda laughed for a minute and then kissed me on my right cheek (which I refuse to wash for a long time as I liked it). That was so awesome, so then I asked her when she would be back and she said on my other cousin Chris's birthday, which will be in 3 months. Finally, I told her merry Christmas and happy new year and left.

It's not especially abnormal, but I've never been a big fan of mistletoe. I'm not superstitious, and I don't care for good luck traditions where people demand kisses. You'll never catch me wearing a kiss me I'm Irish T-shirt on Saint Patrick's Day, because I always imagine that I would get attacked by an ugly leprechaun.

I hate all that phony kissing at New Year too: this year I ended up at a friend's house with another friend and we were having such an interesting conversation we missed the actual time anyway! We later had kisses & hugs when we parted, but it wasn't compulsory just because of what time it was: I hate public events at new year with all and sundry kissing all and sundry: meaningless drunk bullshit

How old are you? Not really judging, but don't most "adults" buy cards? Kids make cards!

I think it's exciting for any pretty girl to give you a kiss or show some affection, but considering it's your cousin it ends there.

Lots of people are attracted or have attractive relatives and the term kissing cousins still remains strong today! lol

I'd say it's normal-ish, but only due to mistletoe.
If you were just hanging on the couch watching a movie and started going at it I'd say that isn't normal. Unless she's your 4th cousin, twice removed! lol

You're 18 ... still young, perfectly normal. Hell, any age I guess. I have some hot relatives, but don't think I'd do anything with them. Possibly when I was younger I thought differently (like you possibly)
