Ummm can't you call someone to come over and bring you a tampon or pad? POr go knock on the neighbour's door and ask them? Or just put an old wash cloth between your legs and get to a drug store to buy them.
Right. The blood is absorbed into the cloth. The outer plastic wrap is a barrier that prevents the blood in the cloth from leaking to your outer clothes.
Is it normal to get stuck at home due to having no feminine products?

Yup, cover the wash cloth with some plastic wrap or aluminum foil.

No you cant do that you need it to be absorbed into the cloth covering it in plastic will just make it go all over the place.
Everyone has old wash cloths that they dont use anymore. She can just throw it out afterwards.
