I'd say it's pretty normal. It's highly personal tho. You just like to obsess over the small things that make you two incompatible and convince yourself that she's not that great, that she's just mediocre and stuff. It's just your brain or personality fucking with you. First dates are rather awkward, and they make you even wonder if it is worth the trouble at all. However, there is are certainly "special" people who will make you melt. I'm saying this because guys tend to want relationships with good-looking women even if they don't have that passion that drives a relationship, or just because you have "matching" interests. You might fall for someone who's completely different than you and you will know because it will make you feel funny inside whenever they talk to you and stuff.
