Is it normal to get sick from marlboro cigarettes?

Yes, I'm aware smoking is bad. I've been under a ton of stress lately, so I started smoking again. I usually buy American spirits because they use natural tobacco with no additives, but I bought a pack of marlboros yesterday because they were out of the other ones. I smoked one of them on the way to work, and I got so nauseated I had to leave work early and I couldn't stop shaking, sweating, and nearly puking for hours. I didn't have this problem with the organic ones and the marlboros were a lot lighter. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, did this happen with any other brands, too?

  • I get like that too. The first cigarette I smoked was A Marlboro RED and I felt just like the exact same way as you. It's' just the cigarette, I would find a less harsh type.

  • I don't like additives in cigarettes either. I can taste them and they just don't feel right. Pure tobacco doesn't have those effects for me the way the ones that have additives do, which I suspect are added to make them more addictive. I don't see any other good reason for them.
