It's normal to be annoyed slightly because the word is defined/used in a derogatory manner. Men are raised in various ways, and you will encounter many men that will completely disrespect you and think of you as nothing but a slut and piece of ass. Learn to accept you for who you are, and even affirm to yourself the words that others use against you. I don't mean to say this in a bad way, like hate yourself, but say that you are a bitch and a slut and all of that to yourself and you are fine with it. But tell yourself you are these things in a neutral, unemotional way. You are redefining the word to your own mind so that you do not react to it. Then, it will start to lose power when others call you it. Also define yourself in positive, good ways. Tell yourself you are beautiful, talented, and wonderful. Of course, when others tell you these things, they will also lose their power and you will no longer feel flattered by such compliments. In fact, words will just start to roll off of you that they won't even matter anymore, and you'll just ignore them. At that point, you are no longer defined or influenced by societies approval or rejection and can live and be how you want to be. You are just who you are.
