I agree. It's not the end of the world if you order an expensive meal for once, especially if he offered paying. If it was q big deal to him, he probably wouldn't have offered.
Also, it's irrational to feel angry if you went we long already knowing you 'cant afford such food'.
Lastly, not all sushi places are expensive, so next time if you want to eat sushi, aim for a different place. I wouldn't go TOO cheap though. seafood poisoning is a bitch.
