    Depends if I'm attracted to her then it would piss me off because if there's something even worse than being friend zoned it must be being sibling zoned as the implied incest definitely sets the tone and kills what little hope there was.

    'Mate' is probably the British equivalent. If a man calls me 'mate' I (unfairly) judge them as probably a bit lacking in intellect.. If a woman does so it seems like they're making an effort to be 'blokey' and assuming all men call each other mate which we don't.
