Is it normal to get gas this badly?
I plan my veg-heavy meals on the basis of when I'm least likely to come into contact with people I know because they make me fart so much.
I get this with kale and onions in stews and soups. The farts are frequent (once every 5 minutes or so) and a lot of gas is passed per toot. This lasts up to 3 hours after eating.
Can this possibly be normal? I once heard a medical source say that doctors don't tend to worry if you're farting too much because it's a sign of a GI tract that's working and that 'too much' is relative anyway, BUT...
From a human perspective, how can I be expected to eat healthily and have a social life at the same time if I'm emitting this much gas, this frequently, and it smells so bad? Is this normal??
