It's normal to get embarrassed over some of the things that you mentioned. I come from a pretty loud family myself, and I think I'm the black sheep, and definitely the silent one. And it's true, you don't want a scene. You don't want a commotion where all eyes are on you. Thats normal. I wouldn't worry about it though.
If you can't say it to them in a nice way, which you probably can't. I know I wouldn't even be able to get a word in edgeways by how loud and talkative my family is at social gatherings. Psh... I don't stand a chance. Maybe the only thing you really can do, is excuse yourself to the nearest restroom, or just grin and bear it, knowing that it's only temporary. I mean, if you want you could probably talk to them alone about this, before you guys go out in public, but if its how they are, they probably won't change.
