I think it's pretty common. I usually feel most depressed at night and I think it is because I'm alone with my thoughts and I don't have anything to distract like I would during the day. You can try reading before you go to bed; it makes you feel sleepy and instead of thinking about all things you think you should be doing, you can think about the story you are reading to distract yourself :) Good luck!
