I can relate in that I've been clinically depressed all my life. It started when I was a child and adolescent, but I didn't start getting therapy til I was away in college. I think it's always been a shameful thing to seek out therapy and take medication for mental health reasons in my family.
I've always felt different and defective inside. I got a proper diagnosis beyond just depression and anxiety when I was 31, and saw several therapists thereafter, but didn't find someone who specialized in my particular personality disorder until I hit a rock bottom in my life at the age of 39.
Is it normal to get depressed after a really fun night?

It's a constant struggle for me.
