That's probably because girls' clothing is much less practical than boys': in fact in extreme cold conditions women cope with cold better than men because we have a layer of subcetaneous fat men don't have.
I looked it up because I didn't know what it is. Everyone, male and female have it. It's jist the layer beneath the skin and it's caused by lack of excerise and overeating.
