I feel the same. Feel free to ignore if you think I wrote too long.
I asked a question on Y!A, "Do Wattpad has trolls?". Then, this answerer said that an infant is much smarter than me just because I accidentally made a grammar mistake of using do instead of does. It is such a small mistake to bother and becoming an asshole to somebody. I don't feel bad anymore because like you said, being an Asian, I learn both my language and English. I put so much effort to learn English still it won't be perfect.
I am glad that IIN at least don't have Grammar Nazi assholes. Too bad, IIN has rude bitch or dickhead but it can be said to other websites as well. If this people don't bother to be polite to me, I don't see any reason to put an effort to be polite to them.
It happened to me as well. I said "movie" instead of "video" and someone decided to make a drama about it and told me to learn english properly before using an english website. Well, I'm constantly learning new things when I use english websites, so...
I honestly don't mind people correcting me, unless they're rude.
If someone acted like that to an extent, they're not worth talking to. They're nothing special to judge us for our lack of grammar skill while we're putting effort to learn a secondary language.
IIN to get annoyed when people are rude to others about their grammar?
