Is it normal to get an STD, even if you used a condom?

  • Before telling people to do their research and 'stop spreading nonsense' maybe you should try it yourself.

Dr Green (the 'toddler taming expert' ?) doing a pop quiz of an audience isn't scientific 'research'. But it does reinforce that having sex with high risk individuals is of course risky, but is there anyone that can't figure this out for themselves? And just to point out, not a single person has argued that it isn't risky.

Angel stated condoms have pores fifty times bigger than the HIV virus. I pointed out this is completely untrue, because it is. Latex gloves have pores fifty times bigger than the HIV virus, condoms absolutely don't. Again, do your research.

Condoms break, they can be not worn correctly or consistently, they can be damaged when stored at thigh heat and in some parts of the developing world they're not manufactured to the quality they are elsewhere. But condoms when worn correctly, do provide significant protection as i stated. Not complete protection, but again noone has stated they're foolproof.

    • This wasn't just a random audience who refused - these are the so-called 'experts' who advise others to do it! Yes, I have read about the double dipping of condoms and the reduced risk factor of 3 - so the risk is reduced to 31%. I'm afraid that wouldn't be good enough for me!

Don't get me wrong, one of my friends is dying from AIDs and it is extremely sad. I am not judging his lifestyle by any means but I know that he wouldn't risk anyone else's life by having sex relying on a condom.
