Is it normal to get an itchy ear when you hear screechy/squeaky noises?

Yesterday, someone outside was unwrapping the hose to his power washer. It was on a rusty wheel and it made an awful squeaky noise that made my ears feel itchy. When I mentioned it to my friend they said I was being weird.

    That sort of thing doesn't make my ears itch, but it does make me cringe.

    Never heard of noise causing ears to itch. Maybe there's a foreign body in your ear canal.

    Some sounds can make us uncomfortable so yes it's normal

    It would make sense if the noise was really loud and of an extreme pitch.
