Is it normal to get a cut on your nipple after intense sex?

Just a day ago, my boyfriend and I had sex; it was really intense. My boyfriend tends to nibble on my nipples when we have sex, and I love it. However, during the heat of the moment, he pulled away too early, causing some of the skin tissue under my nipple to tear off. I did not notice this until the day after. It isn't a major wound in my opinion, just a small cut. Is it normal to have a cut on your nipple from this type of situation? Have you ever experienced something similar to this?
