I used to work at a place where it was warm, and i sweated a lot. Like you, I had thick hair at the time (I'm a 53-year old male, and, where I don't have my bald spot--in back--still is reasonably thick, though it is bit by bit turning greyer), and was somewhat longer (I was in high school at the time). One day, I decided to have it cut shorter...I have never gone away from the shorter hair. I do live in Michigan, though. The comment about sunburn on your head in Florida should be taken seriously, as I have even had this happen in MI, though not so often.

Yes it is cooler and I do have to be careful in the sun. I am actually getting it buzzed again today.
