Is it normal to get a bloodlust/adrenaline from seeing blood?

One time during a gym class it was time to go back and change in the locker room. Thing was, some one got in a fight and bled ALL over the locker room. We were forced to change despite all the blood because the next class bell was about to ring.

But the thing was, I really really liked looking at the blood. I felt a happy rush of adrenaline, not taking my eyes off it for an instant, smiling as if it was my birthday. It smelled great, and if it were not a strangers blood I would have tasted it. I stayed slightly after the bell rang (pretending I was having trouble opening my locker) so I could be with the blood a little longer.

I kinda wish i could see that much blood again, although I suppose I feel sorry for (and also thank) the one who lost it.

is it normal to get bloodlusts like this?

Well, its seems quite normal to me, but on the other hand, my friends say that im rather insane, but i do occasionally cut myself and lick the blood off later on.

  • Well, considering you are sorry for whoever lost it, I think it is normal and there is nothing to worry about.
I wouldn't call it bloodlust if you are feeling empathy for whoever it is that lost it.

Personally, I love blood. I like the look, taste, etc. Mainly I like the look of it, given that red is my favorite colour, and that blood has such a nice shade of red, it will always interest me. I have only tasted small doses of it, but never enough for a full gulp, so I do not know if I'd like the taste with a class, etc.

Point being, people like different things. I don't know why more people do not like blood. We need it to survive, so it isn't exactly a bad thing. Perhaps it's because it can only be seen due to harm on oneself or another.
