Is it normal to follow people on here?

There are certain members on this website who fascinate me, no I don't always agree with their opinion but none the less I find myself clicking on their profile and glancing their comments. Some are very controversial, some are hilarious, some are sick minded, some are kind-hearted, some are bursting with intelligence and some strangely remind me of myself so I tend to follow them.
Taking this point further wouldn't it be great if there were a follow button for this website so you can keep track of your favourites? Anyone agree?

    Me too, and I trace their IP addresses and find out who they really are as well.

    I always tend to read the comments of people that ive figured out are english because i think that their views will be more like mine.

        BTW I'm not looking for tips lol! Judging by some of the responces people are assuming I'm a stalker (or a paedophile?!) I do not want to stalk people lol I just find some people more interesting then others

          I don't think you're a stalker or a pedo (wtf?).

          But a follow option is a bad idea. It puts posters under a microscope and would potentially make them very self conscious.

    i dont follow people as such but i make more of an effort to read certain comments from the people that i like and respect.

    There are a number of people whose comments I will read regardless of whether I'm interested in the subject. That number has been added to by some of the new arrivals. It'd be nice to track down some of the posts made by people who are gone, though. I miss SassyFrassyLassie and BlackRoseVale, amongst others.

    I'm not sure being able to "follow" people here is a good idea, though. What with stalkerism being what it is.

      BlackRoseVale is on here, under a different name. I put the clues together when she said that she had to change her username a while ago. You'll have to figure it out on your own, though :)

        Really? Is it someone I know? Ooh, I love a good mystery. I'm eliminating devilla because you, me and her have similar numbers beside our names. If she'd previously been BlackRoseVale, neither you or I would have had much time to remember her before she left and became devilla. And many of the females here have been here longer than us, from their numbers, so it can't be them.

        Hmm, this is going to keep me up all night, but I'm determined to work it out. Actually, I think I just did. When Mando posted about being ollieo, someone else said they used to go by a different name. If it is her, how come whenever I start doing some detective work, it always ends up being her? She must be a master criminal, or something. It's a wonder she finds time between naughty cats and computer games. ;)
