Sadly, and completely destructively in regards to the integrity of the site, there absolutely is a man in the sky. Log out and check the newest posts section to see if your post actually appeared.
You described having about 50% of your posts accepted. Of these posts, I bet they don't receive comments for another 24 to 48 hours. Right? They're placed in some sort of pending box to be reviewed by the man in the sky.
It seems there are three sorts of IIN accounts.
• Normal: Posts always appear and do so almost immediately.
• Under review: Your posts are reviewed. This will take some time and they will be judged harshly. You may or may not have the ability to vote comments down.
• Shadow banned: Your posts go straight in the trash. You can't vote comments down. Votes up may or may not revert at some point.
Why does this happen? You said something that the man in the sky didn't like. It's that simple. I'm tempted to say that I wish it was only done in response to obvious troll posts, but it's not. Simply having certain opinions regarding science, religion, politics, and social issues are enough to invoke the wrath of the man in the sky.
Why did I say I was only tempted to wish it was only done in response to obvious troll posts? There are no obvious troll posts. There are people who eat dog shit out of their yard. A friend of mine once lived somewhat close to a serial killer who collected jugs of his own urine and ate the pineal glands of dead animals before he was caught. The man in the sky should really fuck off unless rules are broken.

The man in the sky also has spies. They don't work directly for him, but they complain like hell if they think samefagging is going on. The man in the sky has not adopted any objective algorithms to detect samefags. So, he shadow bans all suspects, even though these complainers are only right about 25% of the time. A shadow banned samefag will see his own posts and comments, but they are invisible to all other users.
Btw, the Man in the Sky is named Udi, and his username is TheManagement. He lives in upstate New York, and he doesn't say much. Here is his profile.

So basically, we are to assume people are serious when they post things about keeping jars of excrement in the fridge.
Or what about the endless posts about "I am a straight man but want to suck dick".I myself have made both troll and also intelligent posts. The intelligent ones might see a response or two but the stupid ones get responded to sometimes before I even hit "submit"

You're to assume it's possible that these things either happened or are believed, yes. "Possible" is the keyword.
It's funny you should mention jars of excrement in the fridge specifically because that just happens to literally be among the things the killer I spoke of did. There where decades before he was caught and killed himself in prison when he discussed the legal things he did. He also isn't the only one I've heard of doing that.
There was a man who arranged for another man to sever and eat his penis before freezing and killing him. That was his dream come true.
There was a man who injected himself with rabbit blood on a regular basis.
There was a man who stuck needles in his anus to get off.
It's an abnormal world and you are on a site called IIN.
