I always found church to be boring when I was little. There was nowhere to play and I had to stay in one spot while some dude talked about unexciting stuff.
I thought little kids LOVED to sit still in one spot while some dude talked about unexciting stuff?
Oh get this - one time when I was real little, I turned on the local televangelist station. There was this cartoon where a car was pulling up to a gas station. "RIGHT ON! Cartoons!" I thought. But it just turned out to be some boring show called "The filling station" where they preached the gospel and asked for donation.
