A chat service does exist on the IIN website. However, it doesn't appear to be that much more successful. Oftentimes, you just get "lurkyloos" in chat rooms. You could be the best conversationalist in the world and still encounter duds. I often wonder about folks who gravitate towards chat rooms to either say nothing at all, to play "here I come and there I go and here I come again", or to talk about everything under the sun except what the chat room name suggests. There are some interesting chats on Talk City, however, the rooms are often run by self righteous swine.
