Is it normal to find it satisfactory when i pull ticks off of me/my dogs?

I hate being bitten by them and having the itchy bite, I just feel so accomplished when I pull them off and then get rid of it.

    Me too with my cat. Every removed tick is also a missed opportunity for it to lay 4000 eggs.
    I make sure to burn them.
