Yeah. I agree with you. Ever since the beginning of "the internet era" you're seeing a whole lot of people that want to pretend to be these geeks and nerds. It's rather annoying. I think you can tell the difference between real geeks and the ones that just like to play the role, though. Real geeks seem to be actually into it. I don't know how to explain it, but you can tell the passion is really there where as the wanna-be's just tend to play a few video games, name a couple of comic book characters, go to one or two conventions and tell the world that they are "totally a geek". It is annoying but fads are fads and eventually it will blow over. Hopefully, soon.
Yes, like the hipster glasses. Its also looks kind of stupid when someone who does not wear glasses tells someone with a prescription to get dorkier looking glasses. People with REAL glasses are trying to blend in not saying "Look at me! Im blind!" They dont want to be noticed for it.
