Is it normal to feel weird when helping girls out

Well, I am a guy just to clear some things haha.

I often feel weird when I do nice things for girls. I don't want them to get the feeling I am trying to hit on them or pursuing a relationship.

Say for example, when a friend (a girl) was sad one day and was crying, I went out and bought a icecream cone for her. I would buy icecream for any friend who is feeling down. But the girl looked at me kind of weird when I offered it to her. At least she took it haha.

I just want to make my friends feel better, that's all.

I just want to know how girls feel about guys who are like me. Am I weird? Am I doing things the wrong way?

    Don't worry about it. You're just trying to be nice to people. I think the world could do with a bit more of that haha.

    I've noticed that sometimes, people can give you a "weird look" kinda like they're thinking "um, okay you're being too nice." Well, I say never look a gift horse in the mouth :P

    It depends I guess. I'm a woman and I guess it really depends. I wouldn't let some strange guy buy me ice cream, but as for a friend that would be ok as long as my guy was around. I myself feel akward being around other men alone when I'm in a relationship.

    You are just a nice guy who doesn't want his intentions misread - which shows how sensitive you are! Keep doing what feels right to you. If someone interprets that the wrong way its their error.

    I understand how you feel. If your exceptionally good looking, I'd worry about it because girls would be looking for any sign that you might like them. I'm not joking, I've actually heard from people that they wish they weren't so good looking, cause they keep getting hit on by weirdos.

    You sound like a really nice guy though, and we need more men like you in this world.

    Everyone has different solutions as to how they help out a friend. Depending on the female she may or may not like you for going out and doing that. Generally though I think you're a nice guy. Don't think too much about it! Although, you haven't sprinkled anything on the ice cream did you? Like, roofies.
