Is it normal to feel weak when dealing with a cold?

People say if you have a fever and feel weak, it is only the flu, I disagree.

Is it normal for an adult to feel weak with a cold?

A severe cold can make you weak as your body focuses on fighting off infection (the cold). However, if weakness persists for more than two days, I’d say that’s likely flu and a doctor visit is in order. Don’t try to self diagnose, even smart docs don’t do that. Good luck.

cheap EIA kits are marketed that can detect influenza a, b, or ab in combination. doctors no longer have to guess. they poke a swab in your nose and collect virus on a swab. its a ten minute test . not sure what the charge you but it cost them about ten bucks.
