Of course, if we hadn't met she was beginning a medical tech course in university, and even then she was being told there would be no jobs by the time she graduated. So, instead of sailing the Caribbean with someone she loves, she could be surviving on minimum wage, coming back to her cramped apartment, smelling of frying oil and greasy fast food, even with a college education.
