Is it normal to feel upset if you dont do anything the whole day?

i'm a person who do to-do-list. i'm a student so other than school/studies, i have a lot of free time, which also leads to being bored easily. so if i happened to run out of ideas on what to do then i'll end up lazing around and often feel guilty about it. then i often an upset about myself for putting myself into this kind of state. does anyone relate to me? is this normal?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I feel similar. I either need to work, go to a store, exercise, or do anything that involves me moving around and doing something.

Very normal. Getting work done, making progress and accomplishing goals is what fulfills us—they let us go to sleep knowing the day wasn't wasted.

Having a schedule is great, and my advice to you is to schedule in free time as well. If you want to play videogames for an hour or watch a movie, schedule it in. And if you still have gaps of time to fill, read/exercise/learn a new skill.

I'm the same way. I don't think everyone is, but it's pretty common and probably a good quality. Better than being lazy!

I like to use my free time to learn new things, exercise, write, read, and work on various projects.
