Is it normal to feel unconfortable around people with obvious diseases

There is a thing that I noticed about myself is that I tend to feel a little uncomfortable around people with disease or disabilities even if it is not contagious.
Sometimes it's hard to behave normal around them or just not to stare..

Skin disorders specially disgust me (Sorry about that) and I really don't like to touch something they touched or even be with them in the same place…..

Is that normal, cuz I don't want to feel like an idiot for having such a seemingly rude or inconsiderate thoughts...

Is It Normal?

  • If it's not contagious then it's you not them.

How would you feel if you had an illness or disease that wasn't contagious and you were treated like a leper?

    Get over yourself.

  • As long as you don't run in the opposite direction when someone with a disability or disease comes near you then I don't think it's such a bad thing. You honestly need to build up your tolerance for people who aren't as fortunate as others though.

  • I think it's normal. I have a condition that sometimes makes me depend on a wheelchair yet I still feel the same as you at times.
