Is it normal to feel tired this often?

For the past few years I've just had very low energy. I'll be motivated to do something, but be so tired that I'll often procrastinate or fall asleep before actually doing it.

I'll fall asleep for 7 hours, wake up and by the time I had my first meal not even an hour or two afterwards an intense wave of exhaustion washes over me.

I've tried coffee as well, but it somehow makes me even more tired or has no effect.

Does anybody else get like this?

I feel loke this all the time. I am getting nothing done at all. It is better when the weather is warmer and I look forward to Spring. I do find that eating less helps and eating better also helps. Less red meat and more vegetables. Keep hope Spring is on the way

I agree with what you said about eating less / better. That definitely helps I think.

You should see a doctor asap. It may be chronic fatigue syndrome or something worse.

I've felt like this for years. It sucks. Probably not normal but then again neither am I.

Not "normal" at least not healthy. But a lot of health problems can cause it. I think you should check with a doctor. It could be diabetes, it could be lack of a nutrient (consider tracking it on cronometer, also take a blood test), it could be a serious illness like cancer. Tired once in a while, after doing something physically exhausting, and shortly before and after waking up is normal

  • Get thyroid checked. Have u got depression? Have u had covid in the past? Go to a physician and get blood work done.

You're drinking too much coffee. If you get a high tolerance and drink too much it will make you more tired. Im a truck driver I have experienced that many times.

Jogging should help also. It will be hard to start but if you can get in a little jog you will feel more energy the next days

No. That's not normal. It could be multiple things. Can you afford to see a doctor?

You should go see a doctor and let them take some tests, if you're a woman it's possible something is wrong with your thyroid and if not it could be many other things like chronic fatigue, burnout, depression or a sleep condition such as sleep apnea making your sleep quality poor.
I've always had insomnia which makes you tired since you cant fall asleep and sleep when you're supposed to and I found out I had low doses of vitamin D so taking supplements everyday has removed my insomnia. Many things can affect how little or much energy you have so it's good to try and find out what.
Coffee doesn't work for everyone by the way, it doesn't give me any energy and if you drink it often it will lose its effect.
