Yes he is, but maybe not for long. I'm trying to get my mom to talk to our mailman more often, and I talk about both of them a lot when I speak to them separately. Hopefully they'll fall in love and we can be family!
I know it's not easy but he may not always be around, you should try to fix your relationship with him instead of embracing your mailman as a pseudo-father. He will likely never love you like a son like your father does or could.
