Is it normal to feel this way?

Whenever I read a quote or help someone out emotionally I get a deep feeling. I cannot really explain it but I have always been a dramatic and hype things up a lot. I have often wondered if there was a name for this sort of thing. Also when I get this feeling I feel detached but wise. I like the feeling but it's really weird. Is this normal?

it is probably an evolutionary throwback to perpetuating the species. if you feel good about helping others (and keeping them safe so they can continue to make more humans), then you are more likely to do it. in other words, it is pleasurable to help others because, in helping others, you help yourself.

crisp, please make a question not ask it in a comment. if in a comment you will have less answers than if a real question.

Ldizzy, i get where you are comming from. i often have do do this in the form of a game where you take turns asking any question about the other person. we dont talk about the answers much but its a start. i just wish people didnt get embarrassed all the time when things turn personal.

I think its normal. I strive for those deep feelings. I try to literally pull them out of people. Usually when we're both alone in the car or something. Most of the time I end up having these sort of conversations with my parents. I have deep feelings often. Music makes it grow. When I listen to my music, I could just melt in my thoughts.

But for some reason, for as long as I can remember, I'm always hoping to engage in a deep conversation with someone. And nobody ever wants to talk about anything meaningful! They all just joke around, or they always seem like they're in a hurry or just talk about normal things like how their day went. NO!! I wanna get deep into your soul. I wanna know what you're feeling. I wanna talk about something that we'll never forget. Something we'll always remember we talked about that was so full of meaning.

I can never have just a normal, regular conversation with a person, "Hey, how are you?" without seeming awkward, because I long to talk about deeper, more meaningful things. Its so annoying!

Most of the time I sound like a bimbo because nobody ever wants to talk about things that actually matter. I mean, I go on and on and on about pointless stuff most of the time, because nobody initiates anything to jog these profound thoughts. And if I try to start it up, they simply don't wanna talk about it, or they blow me off like, "Yeah... well, okay. So What are you doing tomorrow?". It sucks. But yes, the feelings is intense. And its normal.

Is it normal that my question has to sit for days before being approved..but my answers can appear intantly..and this is my question that needs so much waiting for.
I have just stumbled upon this site today, and when registering, it stipulated that I needed to be over 18.
Seeing some of the polls regarding eg How old were you on 9/11 or How old are You, it is quite obvious that about 50% who answered are not 18. Some would appear to be 12yrs old.
Whilst some children can be mature, it is a pretty bad show for anyone who is administering this site to accept this.
It also puts a hold on what some adults might like to say. Would an inappropiate comment made by an adult be removed because it might offend the children who should not be on this site?
Is it normal for me to be concerned?

It's normal, you're able to feel and sense the other person and his/her situation. This results in the emotional part.

This makes it so that you think more about it resulting in the wise part.
