Is it normal to feel this way? :/

Well I'm half Haitian, and Half Sri Lankan. I don't like being black (I love myself for only being half or I wouldn't know how to live with myself D:) my father shuns them (typical asian father no less), and my mother (Haitian) acts like a retarded ghetto person (for known reasons ofcourse). My father told me once "It was a mistake marrying that woman, I'm really happy you learned Sri Lankan values, or I would have failed you as a father. I'm sorry for making you live the curse of being black I hope you can forgive me someday."

My father is the man I respect most in my life. We're both buddhist, and we care about school to a great deal! We're traditional also. I don't like my Haitian side of my family because there all failures. ._.'

My friends accept me thankfully, there all south asian, like me. I'm extremely happy I have friends like these or I wouldn't know how to cope with this issue. And for the full black people who feel this way, don't worry just don't act ghetto and you'll succed. :)

Anyways after that long wall of text @_@ is it normal to feel this way? Probably not, but I feel better sharing my expreince. :D

I think your dads got into your head a bit but blacks are people, to say theyre all failures is to be ignorant and thats the last thing we need. I mean if you want to judge someone get to understand them first and then judge them. D:

Hey bro it's really fine to feel this way, but a race cant be stereotyped based on account of people there maybe successful haitians too :) take them as an example and be proud of your haitian heritage , and be glad you are the way you are im sure you sri lankan friends and family don't see any difference in you ,they all treat each other regardless of any race or religion, your father may mean the best for you (asian all the huh) :) as he like to see the best in you,he's worried maybe better talk to him and console him that'll work wonders :D :)he wants to see you succeed and do not end up bad like every other srilankan dad (hehe mine too btw :D).

These fantasies of a super race handed down from Hitler and his fellow thugs will soon be forgotten as the world shrinks and "races" blend into one human race. In the meantime racial prejudice serves as a useful gauge of intelligence.

I AM a dad and even in my childhood my parents taught me to evaluate each person by his individual qualities and not by some superficial attribute like color or nose size. And for the record I am of German heritage and truly regret that it was my people who embraced the Aryan Race nonsense. There is one race!

Why do people feel the need to have any sense of racial identity at all? I view it as pitifully simple-minded.

Guess its normal to feel that way, but seriously you need to stop labelling people. And nowadays no one gives a damn about what color you are -its just you're insecure bout it

This is EXTREMELY normal. It's just surprising you seem to exhibit your non-black heritage. Usually black genes predominate and bring you down almost completely to their level. Almost the whole world feels this way in one form or another. Another common form is hatred, hatred for white people. They resent and hate white people for their beauty, creativity, intelligence, order, etc.
