Is it normal to feel that I am discriminated on this basis?

  • I am discriminated against for not having kids in that I take on a share of the workload of people who have to leave at certain times to be with their families. If something has to be done, only the people with no children stay back and do it.

I don't mind doing it and I know it's important for people to be with their kids but if I'm doing extra work, I feel I should at least be paid for it. To me, I feel like I've taken a pay cut in that I'm paid less per hour.
