I sometimes feel sorry for inanimate objects. When that Lenin statue in Ukraine was toppled and demolished by protesters (I really despise the man it represents) I felt sorry for it, this just blows my mind. Can anyone here relate?
How do you feel about objects that get farted on or pooped in, how do you feel about toilets?
I feel sorry for things as well. I feel bad for talking bad about my possessions. Like if I say; 'my tv sucks ass' in front of my tv, I will want to apologize to it. I'm sure the poor television tries it's hardest to be a good tv! Unless its being a lazy piece of shit that actually hates me and is being crap just to watch me suffer. But I like to think of my objects as being innocent. =)
if you were to type that in the search bar you would find this question has been asked enough times for me to think that this is normal.
I've seen posts like these numerous times on this site, I'm pretty sure this is normal. I have no idea why, although I'm sure I can take a good guess, but regardless plenty of people feel bad when bumping into a lamp or seeing something non-human be damaged.

maybe you are feeling sorry for what they are doing. i dont think is a bad thing. objects like statutes and buildings can provide an emotional effect maybe you are just feeling sorry that that happend and they acted that way
Feel the same way. Sometimes when I drop something I say sorry to it, and I don't sleep with a stuffed animal because I'm afraid of crushing it under me or it falling off the bed. 6.9

Well if you are talking specifically about the destruction of famous landmarks/monuments I suppose it's normal.
