Is it normal to feel sad when you see an old person eating alone?

  • I think it is very normal. You think of them and most likely your sympathy comes from your assumption that they used to eat with someone very special who stole their hearts 1/2 a century ago, and their gone now. Also, you might fear that you'll end up eating alone.

    • When I see old people whether their alone or not, I always get this aching feeling inside. I have a tendency to think/over think a lot. I think about how they were once my age and what they must've been like in their youths. Or how someday I'm going to be old like them and a kid somewhere is going to look at me when I'm old and maybe just maybe they'd wonder the same thing..
