Is it normal to feel really sorry for kid youtubers?
Y'know I am really sorry for all the YouTubers that are children. They get so much abuse on the site for no reason. Like once I watched a video of an 8 year old YouTuber showing off his clown costume for Halloween, and he was really excited about it, and everybody left really mean comments just because he was young. I subscribed to him and told him to ignore it and then a couple of days later he deleted his account because of all of the extremely threatening and explicit comments.
Another example I once watched a video made by a 10 or 11 year old girl who was reviewing famous rock albums like the first Led Zeppelin album and others, and even though she said she liked them all, again there were terrible comments telling her to get off YouTube and that she was a little whore, even though she was so young. I told her it was really great to be a fan of a bands like that as a kid and that I was proud of her, but like in the first example she left YouTube not long after.
I'm just really sorry for them all because a lot of older YouTubers are really cruel and because the children are young, they get disheartened and then stop making videos. It isn't meant to be a teen website, it's meant to be for everybody. Everybody should have fun uploading videos on YouTube, not just teenagers. Because of this I subscribe to every video made by a kid that I come across on YouTube. Is it normal to feel this way because I really do, it breaks my heart to see them responding and sounding upset.
